Synopsis:
Während der Dreharbeiten zu einem neuen Film wird die Hauptdarstellerin Gina Bertini ermordet. Der Verdacht fällt auf den Produzenten: Der verheiratete Max Poulton (Stewart Granger) hatte ein Verhältnis mit der Diva. Poultons Ehefrau (Donna Reed) ist jedoch von der Unschuld ihres Mannes überzeugt.
